Jim brings over 17 years of deep IBM TM1/Planning Analytics experience, having worked extensively across system design, development, and integration for financial planning and forecasting. His background includes building robust models using Rules, Feeders, TurboIntegrator processes, and MDX, along with leading performance tuning and cube optimization initiatives that have significantly improved system speed and clarity. In recent years, Jim has pushed the boundaries of what’s possible with TM1 by integrating it with the TM1 REST API, TM1Py, Google Sheets, and even OpenAI’s ChatGPT and Claude — enabling user-friendly documentation, interactive financial commentary, and automated log analysis. He has also led multi-threaded processing solutions, developed sandbox-driven what-if tools, and created flexible allocation models that align finance operations with business strategy.
